Ray is a seasoned and accomplished IT and creative professional known for his work in both the IT and the Creative/Digital Media industry. With nearly 15 years of experience in technical operations, strategic positioning, multi-channel service distribution, and digital media industry, he is a visionary who designs, builds and implements enterprise network infrastructures, internal and external IT strategies including SLAs, business continuity and disaster recovery plans, service-oriented architectures, systems analysis and web solutions. Ray also designs robust and secured network and systems infrastructures across the entire country; from East Coast to West Coast including systems in Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and New York City.
For 10 years, Ray worked in the beautiful City of Angels (Los Angeles), directing the Information Technology Department at On The Scene Productions, Inc., a national broadcast public relations firm specializing in production and delivery of news. As their IT Director, he was instrumental in elevating the company’s services and client offerings in the Internet broadcasting arena which resulted in an additional revenue stream for the company. He oversaw and managed all information technology issues, including hardware, software, and communications (data/IP telephony) network and security. He also managed all of the daily on-demand video content delivery for partners and clients and worked with company’s such as Nike, Gatorade, The John Templeton Foundation, Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, ADT Security, American Medical Association, Radiology Society of America, and many more. Ray was also a critical member of the company’s Executive Team and provided insight and direction on setting policies and making decisions that addressed the company’s success and paved its future. Prior to this position, Ray managed the IT Department at Atlanta-based iXL Worldwide and Digital Planet.
Ray has worked on some really cool, high-profile projects over the years. In the digital media arena, he has been on the forefront of many of the web’s world-class webcasting events as Chief Consultant and Technical Producer; working in the healthcare, consumer products, and high tech industries. He created, developed and technically produced number of successful on-demand video events on behalf of companies such as Candies and Bongo Jeans with celebrities such as Britney Spears, Kim Kardashian and Vanessa Minillo. He also established successful webcasting partnerships with companies such as Alkamai, Internap, Onstream Media, and Talkpoint; and partnerships with Yahoo!, MSNBC, MSN, Brightcove, Jive Records, Sony Entertainment, and many more.
Along with his expertise in network and system management, Ray is equally versed in Web 2.0 Development and Database design using today’s web trends in PHP/MySQL, CSS, XHTML, Flash and Activescripts 3.0. Ray holds several Microsoft recognized certifications both in network and system managements and Internet Security.
Does Ray volunteer? He sure does. Outside of his IT commitments, Ray holds a leadership role on the Board of Directors for the Our Veterans Our Heroes Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to directly address the challenges and needs of our military personnel and their families. At this organization they work to raise and distribute funds to address the individual needs of America’s veterans and their families on a case-by-case basis and provide timely solutions to the many challenges they may face.
